"Wizardry" is a computer role-playing game (RPG) originally released in the United States in 1981.
With core mechanics such as party creation, dungeon exploration, and character growth, it heavily influenced a wide variety of subsequent RPGs and is widely regarded as one of the founding ancestors of the genre.
In 2020, Drecom Co., Ltd. acquired the copyrights to Wizardry 6, Wizardry 7, Wizardry 8, and Wizardry Gold, as well as the domestic and international trademark rights for the "Wizardry" brand. Moving forward, Drecom aims to further enhance and expand the brand's value. This will be achieved not only through the development of new titles and the reissue of legacy catalog games but also through global media mixes and licensing initiatives.
